Maryland Safe Boater Course
A Maryland Safe Boater card is required if you were born after July 1, 1972 and want to drive a motor boat or personal watercraft in Maryland waters. But it's a good idea that everyone has this basic safety training. Annapolis School of Seamanship and the Progressive Baltimore Boat Show have teamed up to offer show attendees a chance to take the MD Safe Boating class at the show. This 8-hour course is broken into two four-hour sessions on Thursday and Friday evenings from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The $75 tuition fee includes all training materials, refreshments during class breaks, three tickets to the show, and a $25 gift certificate for future classes at Annapolis School of Seamanship. Students under sixteen years of age must be accompanied by an adult. All adult chaperones may attend to class but will only be issued a safe boater card with an additional $25 fee. Chaperones who do not wish to attend the class can wait in the break lounge area. Learn how to be safe on the water!
