Refunds, Cancellations & Credits

We know that situations sometimes arise beyond your control that makes it necessary to cancel your enrollment in a class. Our cancellation/credit policies are:

Cancellation Policy:

30 Days or more prior to course: FULL REFUND (less processing fees), or CREDIT to be applied to a class of equal or lesser value within one year of the missed class. Refunds are not available if we have moved your enrollment from another class.

11 - 29 Days prior to course: CREDIT that can be applied to a replacement class of equal or lesser value within one year of the missed class. After one class change (per registration) a additional $40.00 processing fee will be charged for each additional class change.

10 Days or less prior to course: NO REFUND or CREDIT*

* Please understand that the later you cancel your class, the less likely we are to fill the vacancy created. If we can fill the class from our waiting lists we may waive the processing fee or allow a credit outside of the policy. The best way to facilitate this is to let us know as soon as possible.

Inclement Weather

We make every effort to hold classes regardless of weather. However, in the very rare event that an entire class must be cancelled due to severe inclement weather, you will keep a credit to enroll in another class of your choice. If weather cancellation only effects one session of any multi-day course, an alternate time may be set to makeup any missed instruction if needed. In the event of a weather related cancellation, we will contact you as early as possible using the information provided in your registration. Annapolis School of Seamanship does not accept responsibility for travel and lodging expenses incurred.

Cancellation by Annapolis School of Seamanship

Should cancellation of your course by Annapolis School of Seamanship be necessary due to unforeseen circumstances, then you can elect to keep a credit for the missed class(es) or receive a refund of your tuition. Every class has a minimum required enrollment. Although very rare, if your class does not meet minimum enrollment we will contact you with alternate dates or to provide a full refund of your tuition. If class is cancelled due to alternate events beyond our control, (i.e. closures mandated by local or state government) you will keep a full credit to attend a future class. In the unlikely event of a cancellation we will contact you as early as possible using the information provided in your registration.
